Yup- I took compilers with him in 2005 and while it was one of the hardest courses I took, it definitely set the tone for what I wanted to work on. I was really sad when he left Georgia Tech- he was definitely one of the best professors I had there.

In my time looking at them IE9 JS engine seems on par with FF4 and Chrome. It's IE9's HTML5/CSS3 support that is behind the other two.


to be fair, he might have options or other incentives structured around nokia stock. i'm not sure he should be expected to sell all his microsoft shares on leaving the company- perhaps put it in the control of a trust so that it doesn't look like a blatant conflict of interest?
