BlueSky is so much more toxic than Twitter/X ever was. And I say that as a left-leaning centrist.

Eh, I think you may have just been in a tighter echo chamber on twitter. If you are on bluesky the discover tab is considered a mess and may provide you with things that you aren’t interested in.

Sorry, but teenage me, growing up late 90s, wildly disagrees with this statement.

It's always been addictive and destructive. I was staying up past 3am to talk to my American friends, knowing I'd have to get up at 7am to get to school.

Painting the past with such a rose brush does not help anyone.

I was staying up till 3 am listening to my iPod and reading books without internet then going to school at 7

I do think the internet was less bad back then (but still bad) and i also think sometimes teenagers just be teenagers

You kids and your iPods. ;-)

And "je ne sais quoi" perfectly describes that. Quod erat demonstrandum

Swiss.

Switzerland is in Europe

I don't see why? If they give you a math test and tell you you cannot use a calculator, should you just say "please can I use a calculator" and quit?

Cut down that tree.

Can I have a saw?

No

Okay, it will take much longer then as I’ll have to do x, y, and z.

Pick one: [That’s fine, proceed] [Okay you can use a saw]

Preferably, it would ask for help to see the image and only engineer its own workaround if that was not an option. There could also very well be something in the prompt that would cause it not to do so. Opus 4.8 is usually good at asking for clarification for things like this when I'm using it.

Why would it ask to see the image if it was already told it cannot see the image?

No, a proper analogy is painting with blindfolds on or playing the piano deaf. Doing math without a calculator is like… rather common?

On Max it is just included in your subscription.

Can you tell me the difference between that and doing code review for a task performed by a non-senior?

Comic Chat had its own IRC servers ran by Microsoft. You weren't supposed to use it on "regular" servers.

Nah it was just the default server in the dropdown list. Out of the box it also supported UnderNet, IRCNet, and more.

I have assumed from the get-go that they would just keep extending it week by week.

Which is nonsense given they target enterprise and business users.

In that case you'd be better off waiting 6 to 12 months before buying into SPCX.
