Simplemachinesforum is a BSD licensed php bulletin board software that is very amenable to modification by a smart LLM. You can add just about anything you want into it.
Most of it is divided up into a large number of medium-sized discrete php files.
It run on just about the most boring apache2 (or nginx), mariadb, PHP stuff...
Decode was flat from 128 to 512 generated tokens (0.926 → 0.923 tok/s drafter-off), but that's a 6-token prompt plus the output — total context under a thousand.
The current configuration admits about 4.4k tokens of context at all, and at anything like 200k the killer wouldn't be decode, it would be prefill: today it reads each layer's experts once per 64-row pass,
so 200k tokens of prompt would be measured in days, not minutes, until the scheduling fix.
The KV cache on this engine grows about 2.8 MiB per token of context, and the machine's 128 GB is already holding the 50.7 GiB resident trunk plus reserves the speculative-verify path needs
(we found the hard way that squeezing those makes the verifier reject wide batches and decode falls to single-token steps).
With the current reserves the engine admits ~4.4k tokens; that's a configuration ceiling you can raise by giving the cache more of the 128 GB and accepting less headroom elsewhere.
K3 itself supports far longer contexts — but see the prefill caveat above: on this setup long prompts cost minutes per 512 tokens until the scheduling fix lands.
Do they still do it if they've never been connected to a network? So they don't even know what date/time it is relative to their current updates/firmware? Do they display the warning based on a cumulative power-on timer only (much as good quality computer displays have somewhere in their menus buried a figure showing their total cumulative power on hours).

This has been a thing for a long time in domain name resale for speculation or link farming or similar, domains that are aged with "backlinks" sell for more money.
Private blog networks is another term in that side of the world. They're explicitly designed to look legit even to a human but give link juice to the spam world (which also look legit to a human). And the HN crowd say "I can spot an AI website a mile away!!!". Well cool, and good for you, but many people cannot. In fact, if you can, they are glad you are so smart and are leaving. Why? Because you wont convert.
The targets in the spam world (email and seo) that want to make money want the low hanging fruit. They want uneducated people to visit the site. I remember when google was still young, these same people wanted visitors from AOL. Why? lower traffic and much higher conversion. What kind of person uses AOL when google is available? An uneducated one and a new one to the internet. Or an older person who is likely to fall for a scheme.
I suspect more and more visitors coming from google will be seen this way in the age of AI and social media searching. Easy targets. Whether it's true or not is debatable (maybe people just want to read a real webpage and have AI burnout). Anyway thanks for coming to my ted talk.
I own a single English language dictionary word .net domain that is a common word related to lawsuits/legal activity and have been offered money to sell it. If I sell it, it will almost certainly become the front page of somebody's CRM lead generator for personal injury lawyers (or a blogspam site driving traffic to same through affiliate links).
People who work in actual infrastructure building tech may not know or have any reason to pay attentino to how many shady "affiliate" networks there are in existence for click traffic.
I dont know if I would discredit those folks as not knowing "actual infrastructure". The lengths I saw some folks go to get unique class C ip ranges and maintain automation is pretty impressive.

PBNs are designed to look legit to a Google manual review, to remain indexed, to retain whatever value Google gave to the previous legit incarnation of the site. (The key marketplace for sourcing candidate PBN websites are expired domains that recently had strong search engine rankings)
It's a pure organic SEO play, not a human conversion play. The idea is that the PBN site has a retained link value. And that link value is used to (directly or indirectly) link to a site that is the money site, to boost the search rankings of that money site.
The money site isn't going to be an AI-slop site, it's going to be the polished well-optimised, well-performing as it can be. The PBNs that give the money site credence, that varies based on how much work the money-site owner is willing to spend on the network. The lower end is not even AI-slop, but a static website programmatically generated by content spinning and synonym replacement, where the content is scraped from other sites or perhaps even archive.org snapshots of long dead sites.
If enough independent-looking, diverse-seeming, legit-looking sites are linking to a commercial site, that suggests an element of trust and respectability. That's what PBN creators rely on, creating the appearance of authoritativeness good enough to fool/coerce Google into ranking the money site higher.
IP addresses too. Everyone who trades IP blocks pays a premium for ones that haven't been used for spamming in a long time, so they can be the first in a long time to use them for spamming.
That's actually a valid choice in an extremely watt-hour per day (or week, or month) constrained environment. Like a relatively small to mid sized sailboat crossing a whole ocean. If you have very limited solar power, for instance, and you have critical instruments/radios and stuff to power.
If you have a "house power" 12V battery bank, and a regular laptop which expects 110-240VAC input, 19VDC output (example, random Dell) power brick which is being fed from a small true sine wave inverter, like 12VDC-to-120VAC, you're losing energy to heat and the DC to AC conversion process.
You're converting DC to AC and then the laptop is converting that back into DC. Ideally you do something like wire up a small inline fuse and a tiny meanwell DC-DC converter that can take 12VDC input and output 19VDC natively.
He has basically replicated on a limited budget and in a very small space on land a setup that is not that different than economically built DC power systems are done on boats.
I have to say I'm a bit perplexed as to why a person who is living in a small camping trailer would not want a normally functioning laptop with a screen.
I could see something like a macbook laptop sans screen being useful if it was like, perma wired into the electronics enclosure in a cabinet on a boat and plugged into an existing monitor/keyboard/touchpad... Maybe a tiny two way HDMI KVM switch to toggle between it and an existing x86-64 small computer?
His current setup doesn't look bad to me from an ergonomic standpoint. Displays are fully articulated in all directions and probably at eye level, and keyboard and mouse will be in a comfortable position, with th trackball helping it all.
I'd hate such small screens but to each their own, and the MacBook wouldn't help.
On the decapitation, he's mentioning buying a cheaper device with a damaged screen (I'd assume those are near junk price) and I guess he used it the same way he uses his other computer.
I would blame whatever team of figurative rocket scientists decided that putting something with many dozens of tiny discrete electrical connectors in a flat aesthetically pleasing format on a roof, exposed to rain/snow/ice.
There's a reason why the MC4 connector for traditional PV panel wiring and similar is designed the way it is, and why other things like IP67 and IP68 rated outdoor, 600/1000/1500V rated DC power connectors are as robust as they are.
This is entirely aside from the installation and mounting and labor issues to have such a weird custom solar roof tile and mount it in a way that doesn't make the roof impossible to maintain, doesn't cause leaks, and doesn't blow away in the wind.
And then secondarily blame Tesla's acquisition of solarcity to bail out Elon's brother.
Huh? Bad innovation ideas is an entire market that creates secondary markets. When the outcome is larger than an article in science direct and can only be described as inevitable then there is a conglomerate with some weak decision makers.
